Orgreave Podcast
Today (18 June) marks 40 years since the Battle of Orgreave. The events of 18 June 1984 at Orgreave coking plant, Rotherham, saw picketing miners face 6000 police officers in riot gear supported by police dogs and mounted officers. It was one of the pivotal moments of the strike and one of the most violent clashes in British Industrial history.
