
Parking and Events Volunteer
National Coal Mining Museum for England has a thriving year-round events and activity programme from Bold as Brass in June, to our Light Up Festival in November, and busy school holiday activity programmes, attracting thousands of visitors. Join us in making our events a seamless and enjoyable experience for our visitors by volunteering as an Events and Parking volunteer. You’ll help our staff team manage our carpark on busy event days, weekends and school holidays, ensuring a safe and smooth arrival for our visitors along with supporting with stewarding during events.
What might you be doing as a Parking and Events Volunteer?
- Giving visitors a warm and friendly welcome
- Providing information to visitors, offering assistance and directions
- Directing cars to the carpark and safely parking them up
- Working with the staff team to manage traffic flow around site
- Assisting with the accessible buggy service, directing visitors to pick up points or calling for the buggy where needed
- Assisting with activities around site during events
- Assisting staff team with stewarding and marshalling during events
