The Wolf Type FG was the last model of flame-safety lamp produced by Wolf. It was the final lamp in the Type ‘F’ range.
The Type ‘F’ lamps were smaller and more compact than standard flame-safety lamps and regarded as quite unlike previous lamps. They produced a different style of gas cap, which meant retraining was necessary, a fact which detracted from their popularity.
This example has an additional pipe welded to it for laboratory testing.
