The Baby was Wolf’s version of a manager’s lamp. They were smaller pocket lamps, about three quarters the size of a normal miners lamp. They were used underground by managers and others that did not need a full shift worth of fuel in their lamp. The other examples of miniature lamps were the E. Thomas & Williams Midget, the Davis of Derby Dwarf, and the Baby Patterson.
