Please note that we are set to temporarily pause our iconic Underground Tours, from Sunday 29 December until April 2025, to install a brand new winding engine which allows us to take visitors 140 metres underground. The Museum will remain open with a brand-new digital immersive experience launching in January 2025.
This small copper lapel badge was made in the shape of a miner’s lamp and was available for sale during the 1926 strike. Strike badges like this were among a number of items sold to raise money for the striking miners and their families.
