A framed and glazed crayon, watercolour and pencil portrait of a miner by former miner and artist Dave Wilders. The work is a head and shoulders study of a miner wearing orange colliery issue overalls, with a white plastic helmet and cap lamp. The work is signed along the bottom right hand edge D. WILDERS and was originally exhibited in the artist’s solo show ‘Back Breaking Work’ which was held at the Art House, Wakefield in 2010.
