A powered shovel manufactured by Eimco. This sort of mechanical loader takes a shovel full of material and passes it all the way over its own body and dumps it into tubs behind it. These were dangerous machines that were known for breaking arms of inattentive drivers.
Two inventive miners, Royle and Findlay, designed the mechanical shovel in 1931, backed by the East Iron Metals Company in Salt Lake City, Utah. They formed Eimco, which became one of the best known manufacturers and suppliers of mining equipment worldwide
