Titled ‘Be Tidy for Safety Sake’ this poster features cartoon artwork by Bill Hooper. The poster illustrates the hazards of leaving areas of work untidy and was found on site at Harworth Colliery. The character developed by Hooper for this NCB safety campaign was called Davy Lump who was based on his earlier cartoon creation Pilot Officer Percy Prune.
