STEAM Club – IzWiz Robotics Workshop
Love LEGO? Keen on coding? Build and program a robot to navigate a collapsed mine tunnel or coal conveyor belt system, and learn how to make it move in these creative programming workshops. No experience required.
Step into the shoes of an engineer from the past. Design, build, and program to safely rescue Lego miners or transport coal, using the power of modern technology!
Perfect for ages 6-14 years, solve problems and challenge yourself with following tasks in these IzWiz Robotics workshops.
Workshop One – Wed 9 or Thu 10 April
You will design and program a robot to navigate a collapsed mine tunnel and rescue trapped Lego miners using IZWIZ robotics. By integrating sensors to detect obstacles and avoid debris, you’ll experience the challenges of real-world rescue missions in a hands-on, interactive environment.
Workshop Two – Wed 16 or Thu 17 April
You will design and program a coal conveyor belt system to efficiently transport Lego “coal” from the mine to the surface, competing in both speed and stability. Get creative and solve problems to optimise your systems for maximum performance.
These workshops mimic the early innovations in mining technology, all while learning the fundamentals of robotics, programming, and engineering.
(Please note children must be accompanied by an adult – adults do not need to book)
